Light snow is expected to develop tonight over portions of the area. This snow will move northeastward Wednesday and become heavy late in the day. The heavy snow will then continue through Wednesday night before tapering to flurries Thursday.
While there remains some uncertainty, total snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 cm snowfall are forecast by late in the day Thursday.
Travellers should consider postponing non-essential travel until after the winter storm. Otherwise, motorists should be prepared for poor winter driving conditions due to low visibilities in heavy snow and quickly accumulating snow.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
